Ian Worboys returns to lead Trammell Crow’s European logistics launch

Industrial veteran Ian Worboys has joined CBRE subsidiary Trammell Crow Company to launch a new logistics development arm in Europe.

Worboys was previously chief executive of European logistics giant P3, which was acquired by Singapore’s sovereign wealth find GIC in 2017.

Under Worboys’ leadership, Trammell Crow aims to open offices this year across major markets including the UK, Czech Republic, Germany, France and Spain.

Worboys will serve as a managing director and head of European logistics. He will be initially based in Prague.

His team includes Graham Reece, who has been hired as senior vice president and head of European logistics construction. He will oversee the construction and delivery of all of Trammell Crow’s logistics projects in Europe from Poland, where he is based.

Reece’s previous roles include four years at Prologis until 2012, as a senior vice president and director of development services.

Worboys said: “Our team’s knowledge of logistics, warehouse, fulfillment and e-commerce facilities will enable us to hit the ground running in meeting the expanding needs of occupiers and capital partners.”

Mike Lafitte, chief executive of Trammell Crow, said: “Continued positive market fundamentals point to significant opportunities for risk-mitigated spec-development and build-to-suits.

“Ian and the team we are assembling under his leadership are well-positioned to work with our capital partners and occupier clients to meet these growing opportunities.”
