Knight Frank has promoted Caroline Bathgate to global head of its valuation and advisory business.
Bathgate, who joined the agent in 2004, succeeds Rupert Johnson next month. Johnson will become chair of the division ahead of his retirement from the partnership in 2022.
As a former member of the RICS Red Book advisory committee, Bathgate currently works with the firm’s client base across continental Europe, while also overseeing the implementation of Knight Frank’s Best Practice Procedures for the region. Key clients include CBRE Global Investors, Hines, Schroders, Nuveen Real Estate, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and Citibank.
In her new role, she will develop and guide the three-year plan for the global valuation and advisory service lines, building on the team’s reputation in markets around the world and continuing to raise the profile of Knight Frank’s global platform.
KF senior partner and group chairman Alistair Elliott said: “Caroline’s credentials and track record made her the standout candidate. Caroline will take the lead for one of our global service lines, and I am confident will ensure we continue to provide the very best service to our clients, whilst fostering innovation to allow our great people to continually flourish.”
Knight Frank’s valuation and advisory team comprises more than 900 people in 78 offices around the world and is the second largest contributor to all three of MSCI’s principal UK indices and values for acquisition, accounts, unit pricing and litigation purposes.
