Landsec has confirmed that its new chief financial officer will join the company as CFO designate in early May and take over from Martin Greenslade a month later.
Vanessa Simms, who was previously the finance boss of Grainger and held senior roles at Unite and SEGRO, was confirmed as Landsec’s next CFO last October. She will be replaced at Grainger by St Modwen’s Robert Hudson.
Simms will join the board on 4 May. Greenslade steps down from the CFO post on 31 May, with Simms taking the role from 1 June. Greenslade will then continue to work with Simms until the end of that month.
Landsec announced last September that Greenslade would leave the business after 15 years. At the time, chief executive Mark Allan said Greenslade’s “experience through the global financial crisis and his subsequent work to put the group on a firmer financial footing, at the same time as reshaping the business, has clearly been beneficial in the face of the current Covid threat”.
