Barratt Developments has launched a £100,000 partnership with the English Chamber Orchestra through its new charitable foundation with the aim of taking musical education projects into the local community.
The partnership will reignite the ECO’s Close Encounters programme, which delivers tailored projects to schools across the UK, as well as collaborations with some of the other charities the Barratt Foundation supports.
Jeremy Hipkiss, group head of sales and marketing at Barratt, said: “We will be able to bring music to those struggling with the challenges of homelessness or mental health through our charitable outreach programme, as well as promoting skills and educational opportunities through the Close Encounters programme – all while bringing music into the local community.”
The partnership also plans to host a charity gala concert in 2022 to promote and support NHS Charities Together, which will include a new commission composed in dedication to the “NHS Heroes”.
