Market wrap: Northern developer surges to three-month high

One Heritage Group saw the sharpest rise on the markets today, surging by 22.35% to a three-month high.

The Manchester-based residential developer listed last December and has experienced various spurts of explicable climbs. It ended the day at 52p, around five times its IPO price.

In a mixed day for real estate, the biggest drop came from South Africa’s GRIT Real Estate, dipping by 3.92% to 49p. Elsewhere, Hammerson continued a trend of spikes, today dropping by 3.34% to 33.8p.

The FTSE 100 rose by 0.35% to 6,737 and the FTSE 250 ended up 0.99% at 21,733.
