Regeneration firm Place Capital Group has appointed former Redrow Homes group development director Faye Whiteoak as its new development boss.
Whiteoak was most recently an independent committee member at housing association Plus Dane Housing. At Redrow, where she worked for four years until 2019, Whiteoak led Redrow’s strategic partnership with Liverpool City Council and Torus to deliver 1,500 new homes in Liverpool.
At Redrow, Whiteoak also led the delivery of a new 1,450-home urban village in Chester in a joint venture with Taylor Wimpey.
Whiteoak’s previous roles also include regional director at Gleeson Homes, where she was responsible for the delivery of low-cost housing on both a speculative basis and in partnership with PFI and Housing Market Renewal partners.
David Smith-Milne, who founded Place Capital earlier this year, said: “Our growing pipeline of really challenging, but inspiring regeneration projects was exactly what Faye was seeking for the next chapter in her career. I have no doubt that she will make a major contribution to our plans and projects.”
Manchester-based Place Capital was launched by Smith-Milne and Peter Martin earlier this year. Both are former Placefirst directors.
