BNP Paribas veteran Dan Bayley joins JLL office team

JLL has bolstered its central London office markets department with the recruitment of Dan Bayley, a 30-year veteran of BNP Paribas’ tenant representation team.

Bayley (pictured), who has worked for the French investment bank’s property arm since graduating, is a specialist in high-profile deals such as News UK’s acquisition of its 425,000 sq ft London Bridge headquarters.

He also advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on its major prelet at 1-5 Bank Street in Canary Wharf and IBM on the acquisition of its 135,000 sq ft premises at Southbank Place.

He will join Jeremy Attfield, JLL’s lead director on its central London markets team, as the agent and its competitors grapple with the fast-changing office sector post-pandemic.

Attfield said Bayley will bring “exceptional expertise and experience in evaluating high-profile projects from an occupier’s lens”.

He added: “His expertise spans all facets of the central London office market, and he will be a real asset as we continue to meet the changing needs of our clients as the office sector continues to evolve.”

Bayley said: “I have had a really fulfilling career at BNP PRE, and I am grateful to numerous colleagues and clients. JLL represents an exciting new challenge.

“I look forward to working with a new group of great people and seeing how the world of offices continues to re-emerge from the pandemic.”
