Knight Frank reveals new London research head

Knight Frank has poached a senior Invesco property analyst to head up its London commercial research team.

Shabab Qadar, who spent nine years at the investment management company on its real estate securities portfolio team, will head up research in the capital and produce Knight Frank’s annual London report.

He will join the team headed by Will Matthews, head of commercial research, and replaces Faisal Durrani, who has taken a new role as Knight Frank’s head of Middle Eastern research.

Shabab Qadar, partner and London research lead at Knight Frank, said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Knight Frank, with ESG, technology and new occupier requirements set to drive the future of real estate in London, already one of the world’s most dynamic and engaging cities.”

Before joining Invesco, Qadar was head of UK and Ireland real estate research at Grosvenor, and also worked as an economist at the Engineering Employers Federation.

Matthews said: “Shabab brings a wealth of experience in real estate research to the team. There has never been a greater need for high-quality data, insight and analysis to inform decision-making in real estate, and Shabab’s expertise will further strengthen our offer to clients.”
