Peter Denton is the preferred candidate to run the government’s housing agency.
The boss of the Hyde Group housing association has been tapped for the role of chief executive for Homes England, four years after he left real estate investment banking to “give something back”.
If the appointment goes ahead, Denton will replace Nick Walkley, who resigned unexpectedly in January, and join chair Peter Freeman, the co-founder of Argent.
