The Gooch Estate has teamed up with Solihull-based developer BPG, lodging plans for a £120m development in Birmingham’s Southside.
Plans for Oasis Southside comprise 456 flats, 5,500 sq ft of commercial ground floor space, and a 7,000 sq ft rooftop terrace. It includes buildings of up to 11 storeys on a 2.5-acre brownfield plot between Birmingham’s Chinatown and Theatreland.
The application comes as Gooch Estate is also pursuing a 642-home consent with Apsley House Capital at Lower Essex Street, also in the Southside neighbourhood.
John Tebbutt, development consultant at BPG, said: “With close proximity to both the city centre and the new HS2 station, the development will prove highly attractive to both investors and owner occupiers alike.”
Knight Frank is advising BPG. Pennycuick Collins is advising Gooch Estate.
