Former Crest Nicholson chief exec Bergin joins ilke Homes

The former chief executive of housebuilder Crest Nicholson has joined modular homes company ilke Homes as its chief financial officer.

Patrick Bergin left Crest Nicholson in early 2019 after a series of roles that saw him act as chief financial officer between 2011 and 2016, chief operating officer between 2016 and 2018, and then chief executive.

He now takes the chief financial officer post at ilke Homes as the modular housing company posts an order book of more than £200m.

His appointment sees him reunited with board member Stephen Stone, who was chief executive and then chairman of Crest Nicholson.

Bergin said of the outlook for ilke Homes: “To successfully transition to a net-zero economy by 2050, there requires a significant step change in the way the UK builds homes. Regulatory pressures, challenges to traditional models of delivery and the urgent need to decarbonise housing mean that there has never been a more crucial time for UK housebuilding to innovate and adopt more modern methods of construction.”
