Proptech firm WeMaintain has raised €30m (£26m) in series B funding, as it gears up for international expansion.
The company, which is based in Paris and London, will use the funding to open a new office in Singapore. This will be led by Byron Fuller, who joined as Singapore managing director last year.
After the launch, the firm seeks to “enter strategic markets” in the Asia-Pacific and US regions.
It will also invest in research and development to create solutions for all regulated building operations, to meet its stated goal of becoming the leading player in the smart building sector.
New investors supplying the €30m raise are Red River West, BPIFrance Digital Ventures, and Swiss Immo Lab.
Benoît Dupont, co-founder and chief executive of WeMaintain, said: “This raise is a step towards realising our aim to expand globally, including Asia and North America and deliver smart buildings everywhere, using our end-to-end approach to shape the way people live and work.”
Jade Francine, WeMaintain’s co-founder and chief operating officer, said: “Property owners and managers have suffered from the status quo. We decided to respond through our technology and our ambitious approach.
“Singapore is an ideal place to prove the replicability and scalability of our model and technology.”
The raise comes after the firm acquired fire alarm solutions company Shokly.
Since the firm’s launch in London last year, it has struck deals with co-working provider Workspace and KeolisAmey Docklands, which operates the Docklands Light Railway.
