Social and charity: Crest Nicholson nurtures talent

Crest Nicholson hopes to help young talent enter the housebuilding industry through its new Early Careers Programme, an initiative launched on the back of the government’s Kickstart Scheme.

The Kickstart Scheme, which concludes in September, was introduced in summer 2020 and provides funding to employers to create new jobs for young people who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Crest Nicholson will launch its own career development programme, a continuation of the initiative, and has committed to recruiting 25 trainees to the business.

The apprentice roles will not require previous sector experience, and the housebuilder will work to encourage applications from under-represented groups.
