Large chunks of the Firth of Forth and Edinburgh airport could be relaunched as a “green port”.
Forth Ports will submit a bid to the Scottish government for the designation, which is similar to the freeports being rolled out in England.
Forth Ports said its bid would cover key ports, industrial complexes and logistic centres along the north and south shores of the Firth of Forth while also including Edinburgh airport.
