Funding sought for £1.3bn Purfleet-on-Thames scheme

The private consortium developing a new £1.3bn town centre at Purfleet-on-Thames in Essex has launched a hunt for finance.

The joint venture between Urban Catalyst, Swan Housing and Keltbray is seeking £1bn in equity and debt, to finance build-to-rent and commercial development in future phases of the regeneration.

Purfleet-on-Thames will provide 2,850 homes and a new town centre at the Essex development, including 1m sq ft of space dedicated to television and film studios at a commercial hub for creative industries. There will also be a medical centre, primary school and extensive public realm on site.

Knight Frank is advising Purfleet Centre Regeneration.
