Shaftesbury has appointed Colliers’ Matt Thompson (pictured, left) to the new role of head of property insights. He will help drive Shaftesbury’s portfolio curation strategy and support the performance of tenants across its 16-acre portfolio.
Bruntwood SciTech has appointed Kath Mackay (pictured, right) as director of life sciences. She will be charged with developing innovation services and investment support for life sciences businesses across the Bruntwood SciTech network.

Residential consultancy Ringley Group has appointed Anthony Kingdon as a director to head its operations in Wales. He joins from Xenia Estates.
Colliers has bolstered its national capital markets offering with the hire of directors Amy Griffiths, Nick Haverly, Warren Leader and Chris Nash in its debt advisory, public sector and capital raising sectors.
Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its central London retail leasing team with the appointment of Megan Hutchinson as associate. She will work across retail and restaurant instructions. Hutchinson joins from H&M, where she was a leasing manager.
Aviva Investors has strengthened its real estate long-income team with the hire of Todor Valev as assistant fund manager of the European RELI Fund, and Sam Gadar as associate director responsible for the origination of RELI assets.
Sarah Salmon has joined Cornerstone Barristers. She is a specialist in housing, property and local government law and previously worked at Field Court Chambers.
Richard Foxon and Piers Beeton have left Strutt & Parker to set up their own land, development and property agency business, Newton LDP. The new firm will offer development consultancy and development land agency advice.
Residential and care developer Highwood has appointed Andy Stevenson as construction director. He joins from McCarthy Stone and will be responsible for the delivery of all new construction schemes, health and safety management and customer care.
TopHat has appointed Paul Buddin as chief financial officer. He joins from automotive group McLaren.
JLL has appointed Nick Hart in the newly created role of head of strategic transactions, capital markets UK, with Jonathan Heptonstall replacing Hart as head of retail capital markets.
Great Portland Estates has made the following board appointments: Tishman’s Dan Nicholson has been appointed as an executive director, Mark Anderson joins as a non-exec director, and Carrie Heiss has joined the executive committee, having been appointed as HR director.
