Wates Group has appointed former Crossrail executive Esther English as corporate development director.
English worked at Crossrail for five years, most recently as head of reporting. She previously worked at KPMG and Reed Global.
She has been chief of staff at Wates, providing maternity cover, since August 2020. In the new role, English will lead Wates’ strategic development, to help achieve the group’s diversity, inclusion and environmental goals.

To do so, we need to blend the deep expertise of our existing team with the new capabilities, varied experiences, and fresh perspectives that people from different academic and professional backgrounds can bring.”
