Lexicon adds beds and bubble tea to Bracknell tenant mix

Bracknell’s Lexicon has secured a slew of tenants, selling everything from comfy couches to Korean cuisine.

The £240m jv, between Schroder UK Real Estate Fund and Legal & General Capital, will now have a 19,210 sq ft flagship store for home furnishers Plush.

Gail’s Bakery, which was recently bought by Bain Capital in a £200m deal, is also moving in, taking 2,634 sq ft. Korean-Japanese takeaway Kokoro has taken 803 sq ft, while bubble tea specialist Yi Fang takes 954 sq ft. And Fone World is moving in to a 2,753 sq ft store. Each of the tenants has taken a new 10-year lease.

Harry Pickering, head of UK retail at Schroders, said: “From our perspective, the key now is to prioritise making the shopping experience as exciting and enticing as possible to continue restoring consumer confidence, and seize this opportunity to make up as much ground as possible on what has been a damaging year for the sector.”

CBRE and Lunson Mitchenall are joint agents.
