Coffee chain Black Sheep plans larger flock

Black Sheep Coffee wants to nearly double its stores by February next year.

The coffee chain has 43 stores, mostly in London, but also has outposts in Glasgow, Manchester and Paris.

It is now looking at opening 35 more in smaller towns such as Guildford and Colchester, and is eyeing sites at out-of-town retail destinations and designer outlets.

Black Sheep expects next year’s sales to be double last year’s £19m.

The company agreed with landlords a cut its rent liabilities by 60% for the period from the end of March 2020 to June 30 this year.
