PwC wants to create a tech hub at its Manchester office, with plans to hire 1,000 staff over three years.
The new technology-focused roles will be based at the firm’s 50,000 sq ft office at 1 Spinningfields and will be on top of its commitment to recruit 3,000 more staff this year.
Andy Burnham, mayor of Greater Manchester, said: “The city is the fastest-growing digital and tech hub in Europe and we are fast becoming the UK’s leading digital city region. As more and more businesses set up, grow and move here, we are building an ecosystem that supports businesses and talent at every level.”
