Market wrap: BMO REIT hits post-pandemic high

Shares in BMO Real Estate Investments hit their highest value since the Covid-19 pandemic struck on Friday, after the company told shareholders it sees improving investors sentiment in the UK real estate market.

In a trading update this morning the company said NAV per share stood at 110.5p as of 30 September, up by 8% over the quarter. It has collected 98.8% of third-quarter rent, its best collection rate for any quarter since the pandemic began.

Its shares rose by 5.2%, one of the session’s best real estate performances, taking their price to 85p – their highest since January 2020.

The day’s most sizeable real estate fall came from MJ Gleeson, down by 5.5% to 752p.

The FTSE 100 ended the day up 0.2% at 7,204, with a 0.06% gain for the FTSE 250 at 22,931.
