Airbnb boosts revenue by 67%

Airbnb has reported a rise in revenue by two-thirds and a fourfold increase in profit.

The holiday home rental company saw revenue rise to $2.24bn for the third quarter, while profit increased to $883.9m.

But it predicted Q4 would be even better, as international travel rebounds and rising Covid vaccinations drive growth, forecasting Q4 revenue of between $1.4bn and $1.5bn.

It added that domestic and short-haul bookings were higher than 2019 levels.
