London’s blue-chip property companies enjoyed share price rises today, with Landsec, British Land and SEGRO all nudging up in value on a good day for the FTSE 100.
Landsec’s share price increased by 1.32% to 706.2p, British Land was up 0.95% to 510.8p, and SEGRO rose by 0.53%, finishing the day’s trading at 1,331.5p.
London’s blue-chip index had its best session in nearly a month on Wednesday, boosted by a weaker pound and gains in the banking sector. It gained 0.91% to finish on 7,340.15 points.
Elsewhere, Sirius Real Estate was the highest riser on the FTSE 250, gaining 1.73% to finish at 141.2p.
It comes days after the company said it had agreed a capital raise of £137m to fund the £245m acquisition of flexible working company BizSpace Group from Värde Partners.
Sirius share are up 49.5% for the year, having started 2021 valued at just 93.5p.
The FTSE 250 rose by 0.28% to finish the day on 23,433.25 points.
