Countryside and Bellway are preparing to submit plans to transform the Brackley Golf Course in Little Hulton, Salford, into a 690-home scheme.
Countryside has now completed its circa £40m purchase of the 63-acre former golf course, which closed in 2016, from freeholder Salford City Council and leaseholder MHE Investments.
Outline planning permission has already been granted for the site, with a reserved matters application due for submission in January 2022.
Bellway and Countryside will each deliver 345 of the homes planned on the site and hope to begin remediation and enabling works in March 2022.
