Hyatt agrees deal for new Stratford hotels

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has struck management agreements for two new locations in Stratford, E15, with a subsidiary of M&L Hospitality through an affiliate.

The hotel group will open a 225-room Hyatt Regency and a 127-room Hyatt House in Q2 this year through its deal with Stratford City Hotels.

Hyatt Regency London Stratford includes 6,673 sq ft of meeting space along with a bar, restaurant and open-air terrace.

The Hyatt House offer will provide apartment-style suites with kitchens and flexible workspaces. Both are located near Stratford station.

Felicity Black-Roberts, vice president of development for Europe at Hyatt, said: “The addition of these two hotels will be another exciting step in growing Hyatt’s brand presence in the UK and in creating a network of hotels across the key commercial and leisure markets in the country.

“We worked closely with M&L Hospitality to choose the right brands for the location and are pleased to be continuing our relationship with them following the successful openings of Hyatt Regency Manchester and Hyatt House Manchester in 2019.”

Neil Maxwell, chief executive of M&L Hospitality, said: “Our strategy focuses on identifying key gateway cities with strong economic growth.

“Stratford is experiencing a real boom, and our plans to introduce these Hyatt House and Hyatt Regency hotels to London will capitalise on this.”
