Life Science REIT bolsters Ironstone team

Life Science REIT has made three new appointments to its investment adviser, Ironstone Asset Management.

The AIM-listed life science specialist has hired Ian Harris as director of asset management. Harris, a qualified chartered surveyor, has held senior roles at CBRE Global Investors, Imry Holdings and Frame Investments. Most recently he co-founded Westmount Real Estate, a boutique investment advisory and asset management business acting for domestic and international investors.

Matthew Barker has been appointed to the role of senior asset manager. Barker joins from Mayfair Capital ad was previously an asset manager at Picton Property Income.

David Lewis has joined Ironstone as director of operations and finance, consolidating the two roles and replacing Andrew Pinto, who has now left Ironstone. Lewis was most recently head of fund finance at real estate private equity firm Round Hill Capital. He has held senior executive positions at Babcock & Brown, Balfour Beatty Investments, Campus Living Villages and Lend Lease Infrastructure.

Simon Farnsworth, managing director at Ironstone, said: “In a little over two months since our IPO, we are pleased to have deployed over half of the IPO proceeds in five high-quality, immediately income-producing life science transactions across the Golden Triangle of London, Oxford and Cambridge.”
