Amazon’s Prime Video streaming service has struck a deal to lease space at Shepperton Studios in Surrey, in the company’s first long-term commitment to making TV programmes and films in the UK.
Details for the company’s multi-million-pound deal with Shepperton have not been released but it is understood to have signed a lease for “well over” 10 years.
It joins rivals Netflix and Disney, which have both signed deals with Shepperton Studios for space.
