Theme park operator DisneyLand is building its own town where residents can “live the next chapter of their lives” in the “happiest place on earth”.
The new 618-acre town, to be called Cotino, will be built on a desert site in the Coachella Valley near Rancho Mirage, California. It has been designed around a 24-acre lagoon, will have 1,900 homes and will feature a neighbourhood for over-55s.
The town, which is the first of several planned by the firm, will be staffed by Disneyland staff cast members.
