McHugh & Co has raised almost £60m at the firm’s first auction of the year, with 91% of lots on offer sold.
The online sale offered a total of 259 lots.
Lot 119 (pictured) proved to be the highest value lot of the day. The shop with flats above, at 8 Broadway Market in Hackney, E8, sold for £1.4m off a guide of £1m. The asset produces an annual income of £73,160.
Another highlight from the sale was a freehold residential block in Loughton, Essex. It was guided at £80,000 and sold for £289,000.
Auctioneer James McHugh said the sale was “record-breaking”.
