LaSalle Investment Management has completed a deal to fund KKR and Hondo Enterprises’ Highgate Studios acquisition and revamp, in NW5, with a senior loan exceeding £100m.
The 210,000 sq ft campus is anchored by videogame developer Rocksteady Studios, a subsidiary of Warner Bros that produced the Batman: Arkham series. Other tenants include software firm Softwire Solutions.
KKR and Hondo Enterprises teamed up to buy the location from London Buildings, comprising special purpose vehicles run by three private family investors, for £150m in November last year.
The pair intends to deliver a series of environmental and sustainability improvements to the site.
Hondo Enterprises is run by billionaire socialite Taylor McWilliams.
JLL’s EMEA debt advisory team advised on the financing deal.
