Galliard gets go-ahead for Oxfordshire retirement village

Galliard Homes has been given the green light for a £50m GDV retirement village near Henley-on-Thames.

South Oxfordshire District Council has passed reserved matters planning approval for the six-acre Henley Meadows scheme to be developed by a joint venture between Galliard, Probitas Developments and O’Shea.

The Nick Baker Architects-designed project will deliver 65 one, two and three-bedroom flats, as well as two/three-bedroom cottages. The village will also include a clubhouse containing a bistro, bar, gym and care services.

Construction is expected to start next month, with sales commencing in July. The first homes are scheduled to be available in July 2023.
