DTZ Investors launches Folk co-living brand

DTZ Investors has launched its new co-living brand, Folk, with the opening of the Palm House in north London.

The brand will support schemes being brought forward by its dedicated co-living fund, Coliv, which was launched in 2019.

The Palm House, a £55m development spread over 87,000 sq ft, offers 222 studios in an amenity-rich, co-living building designed by Hawkins Brown and Atypical Practice. The development, five minutes’ walk from Harrow and Wealdstone station, includes 27,000 sq ft of on-site amenities, including a fitness studio, outdoor terraces, co-working spaces, a games room and on-site bar and restaurant.

A further two developments, with a combined 585 studios, will be added to the brand in Earlsfield and Battersea by early next year.

Coliv investment director Chris Saunders said: “We are delighted to launch Folk’s first co-living property to the market, providing an aspirational living experience at an affordable rent. As well as being a great place for residents to live and work, the extensive amenities the building provides will also have a positive impact on the local community as we look to work with groups in the Harrow area.”

Marketing material for the Palm House states that residents will be able to “enjoy new experiences every day through a varied programme of events, ranging from morning yoga to evening hackathons”.

Folk has also partnered with Mule to debut its first London bar and eatery at the Palm House.
