Knight Frank has appointed a new head of South East and Greater London offices, and a head of life sciences and innovation.
Roddy Abram (pictured) will lead the agency’s team focusing on office leasing, development and tenant rep across non-central London markets from 1 April.
Emma Goodford will take the lead of Knight Frank’s life sciences offering, starting on the same date. She will also cover the beat for the agency’s US occupier services partner company, Cresa.
Stephen Clifton, head of commercial at Knight Frank, said Abram was “extremely well respected by our clients and perfectly placed to drive this market-leading team, which is appointed on a number of the region’s most exciting and sustainable office developments”.
Of Goodford’s appointment, he added: “It’s also fantastic news that Emma will be leading the growth of our life sciences and innovation team. A sector with serious momentum, Knight Frank is at the forefront of this growth – supporting clients, occupiers and investors with every aspect of their life sciences real estate needs.”
Knight Frank’s UK life sciences team is working on developments including Brockton Everlast’s Cambridge Science Park, while recent deals include Brookfield’s £714m acquisition of Arlington, a science, innovation and technology platform comprising 36 assets.
Goodford said the pandemic had been an “inflection point” for life sciences real estate. “The real estate response has been potent as investors and developers appreciate the breadth of real estate demanded by this specialist sector,” he said.
