Lothbury Property Trust has secured conditional consent from Westminster to redevelop a corner plot at Soho Square, W1, to create a new seven-storey building.
Westminster City Council voted to approve the application unanimously yesterday evening (5 April).
Under the proposals, existing buildings at 12 Soho Square and 3-7 Soho Street, W1, will be demolished. The development will provide more than 24,000 sq ft of office, retail and restaurant space. It will also offer terraces, green roof areas and photovoltaic panels.
The offices element, which will be located on the upper floors, will increase marginally to some 20,615 sq ft, from 19,280 sq ft. There will be a retail provision on the ground floor along and a further space with scope for either more retail or restaurant uses. Combined, these will measure around 3,430 sq ft.
CBRE is advising Lothbury.
