New York’s super-skinny Steinway skyscraper finally ready for residents

Apartments in the world’s skinniest skyscraper are finally ready for residents to move in.

Prices in the Steinway Tower, which overlooks Central Park in New York, start at $7.75m for a studio, rising to $66m for the penthouse.

The 84-storey tower, which at 1,428 ft is just a few feet short of being the tallest residential building in the world, is a mere 57 ft wide, giving it a height-to-width ratio of 24:1.

Construction of the Steinway Tower began in 2013 and it was technically completed last year, but residents are only now able to move into the complex.
