Essensys, a listed technology company that makes software for services office operators, has hired a former executive from British Land as its first chief of staff.
Chenai Gondo spent almost four years at British Land, joining as strategy executive in 2018 and becoming senior strategy executive the following year. Before joining the REIT she worked at consultancy McKinsey & Co for more than four years.
Gondo said: “This is such an exciting and pivotal time of transformation for the real estate industry. Engaging with the right technology presents an opportunity to help overcome some of the biggest challenges being faced. essensys is a genuinely innovative company, with a product that addresses three of the biggest trends in real estate: flex, ESG and digitalisation.”
Essensys chief executive Mark Furness said the company would benefit from Gondo’s “development and delivery of high impact strategic initiatives, combined with her strong market knowledge”.
