Gary Neville’s Relentless Developments has partnered with Salboy to deliver the final phase of the St Michael’s scheme in Manchester, which has a GDV of £250m.
The jv will deliver a 40-storey tower, comprising 191 beds, a five-star hotel, 181 serviced residences and leisure spaces. As part of the plan the Sir Ralph Abercromby pub, which fronts onto the square at St Michael’s, will be fully refurbished.
Initial works are expected to start in January 2023, just 12 months after the commencement of the commercial property phase 1. The scheme in its entirety is expected to be completed in 2026.
Anthony Kilbride of Relentless said: “With the initial phase of the development now well underway, it allowed us to focus on finding our delivery partner for the final phase of the project and to complete the masterplan we set out to achieve for St Michael’s.”
The tower was designed by Hodder + Partners, with Domis Construction named as contractor.
