Panattoni draws up plans for £250m Bristol logistics scheme

Industrial developer Panattoni has set out plans for a £250m development in Avonmouth, Bristol, which will include the UK’s largest speculative logistics facility.

The development, called Panattoni Park Avonmouth, will measure 1.3m sq ft. The developer is working up the plans after buying the 73-acre site, Central Park, in an off-market deal. It was bought with planning consent.

The site will provide two facilities, measuring 882,000 sq ft and 406,000 sq ft.

Works are expected to complete in Q3 2023. Major occupiers in the area include Amazon, The Range, Lidl, DHL, Tesco and Davies Turner.

James Watson, development director at Panattoni, said: “Our new acquisition gives us the ability to deliver large-scale speculative units in an established logistics location.

“UK stock remains at an all-time low at a time when Bristol and the wider South West and South East markets are experiencing their strongest take-up for many years.”

DTRE, JLL and Colliers have been appointed as agents for the park.
