Arcadis moves into Birmingham’s tallest office building

Arcadis has signed a 10-year lease at 103 Colmore Row, Birmingham’s tallest office building.

The consultancy will occupy 12,132 sq ft of workspace on the 16th floor of the 26-storey tower.

Following this deal, 103 Colmore Row is now 75% let or under offer. It comprises 223,631 sq ft of lettable area and is owned by a jv between Sterling Property Ventures and EPISO 4, a fund managed by Tristan Capital Partners.

Other occupiers of the tower include Gallagher, Grant Thornton, Knight Frank, Shoosmiths, RSM, Tilney Smith & Williamson and flexible workspace operator x+why.

Simon Marks, city executive for Birmingham and the Midlands at Arcadis, said: “We firmly believe that we still need offices and office space, but it must be a different type of space that reflects the changing nature of the work day and our people.

“The continued strength of the office market demonstrates the importance of having a place for collaboration, shared ideas and social interaction, and the impact this has not only on productivity, but crucially on the health and wellbeing of employees.”

The office space is being marketed by joint agents Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield and Knight Frank. CBRE advised Arcadis.
