Sainsbury’s Supermarkets will move into a new distribution facility at Trafford Park, Manchester, when it reaches practical completion later this month.
The company has signed a 15-year lease on 68,374 sq ft of space at Guinness Point, which was speculatively developed by Harbert Management Corporation in response to a lack of industrial space in the area.
Howard Hill, asset and development manager at Harbert, said: “We have seen record levels of take-up and rental growth across the Trafford Park holding, and occupancy levels remain at an all-time high.”
CBRE and B8 Real Estate acted for Harbert Management, while Avison Young acted for Sainsbury’s.
