Avison Young has hired Sarah-Jane Osborne as head of workplace for the UK and Europe.
Osborne, who was head of workplace at Arcadis, will help AY meet “significantly increased demand” from occupiers wanting to navigate the impact on the workplace from recent market disruptions.
She said: “Avison Young is operating at the forefront of revolutionary workspace consulting. In the post-Covid landscape our focus is to enable organisations to redefine how and where work is delivered, successfully embed hybrid work strategies, realign real estate portfolios and magnetise teams to reimagined, dynamic and high performing workplaces.”
Osborne has an award-winning and established career in workplace strategy, commercial interior design, architecture and project delivery. She has worked with a host of public, private and third-sector organisations, including leading professional services and legal firms, for which she has pioneered people-first workplace strategies and advised on the real estate impact of prospective organisational shifts and restructures.
Osborne, who will also be made partner, will work closely with manager director of occupier solutions, James Porter, to develop Avison Young’s corporate occupiers service.
Porter said: “Attracting a workplace expert of Sarah-Jane’s calibre is a real coup and speaks to the quality of Avison Young’s occupier service offer and the ambition we have for future growth. Her in-depth understanding of workplace design, her people-centric approach and focus on data-led insights, digital innovation, and sustainability aligns incredibly well with our core values.”
