Howard Dawber is stepping down from his role at Canary Wharf Group to lead a new urban development consultancy.
Dawber will take up the position of chief executive of City Strategy on 1 August.
At Canary Wharf Group, where he has been employed for 18 years, Dawber was managing director of strategy. During his tenure he worked on around 10m sq ft of development, securing funding, support and construction of the Elizabeth Line, the London 2012 Olympic bid and legacy, and major projects in the City of London, Lambeth and Tower Hamlets.
He will continue to work with the firm as a consultant on a number of specific projects.
City Strategy has been set up to provide consultancy advice around the world, offering political, communications and strategic advice for developers and strategic consultancy support for city administration, major development projects and governments internationally and in the UK.
