Social & charity: JLL gets match fit for youth club charity

To mark the UEFA Women’s Euros 2022, JLL is hosting a charity men’s and women’s five-a-side football tournament celebrating equality and gender diversity. The event takes place on 16 September and participants of all genders are encouraged to get involved and raise funds for Manchester ‘s Hideout Youth Zone.

Sheridan does the Charleston for Ukraine

Bernadette Sheridan, head of sales at PayProp UK, took to the dance floor at the 2022 Strictly Agents Dancing Charity Ball and raised nearly £700 for the Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Sheridan, who has been hosting a Ukrainian refugee since May, took a three-month ballroom course before performing the Charleston dance at the event. 


Shaftesbury helps breathe life into budding brands

West End landlord Shaftesbury has teamed up with This is Soho to launch the Incubator Project. The initiative will give budding UK brands with sustainability credentials across fashion, beauty, lifestyle and homewares the chance to win a free three-month pop-up shop in autumn/winter. The winning brand will receive support to launch their business in the West End alongside a host of independent and flagship brands. As well as the pop-up space, the winners will receive £5,000 towards internal fit-out plus exclusive one-to-one business mentoring.
