Cressida Hogg leaves Landsec for BAE Systems

Cressida Hogg will stand down as Landsec’s chair next year as she becomes BAE Systems’ first female chair.

Hogg will have spent nine years on the Landsec board, having joined as a non-executive director in 2014, and becoming chair in 2018.

Hogg said: “I have much enjoyed my tenure at Landsec, especially the last five years as chair. I know I will be leaving the company in a robust position with a strong leadership team and board. I look forward to working with my appointed successor to ensure a smooth transition.”

The nomination committee, led by senior independent director Edward Bonham Carter, has started the process to find a successor. Hogg is expected to step down no later than Landsec’s next AGM in July 2023.

She has been appointed as a non-executive director and chair designate of BAE Systems with effect from 1 November 2022, and is expected to take on the role, subject to election, in May next year.

Landsec chief executive Mark Allan said “On behalf of the board I would like to thank Cressida for her invaluable contribution and leadership during her time with Landsec. The business has benefited considerably from her broad business experience and, from a personal perspective, I have been grateful for her support and guidance since being appointed CEO a little over two years ago.”
