Landsec has appointed packaging boss Miles Roberts to its board to boost its sustainability strategy.
He will join the company 19 September, replacing Christophe Evain as a member of the audit committee.
Roberts, originally a structural engineer, is group chief executive of DS Smith, the London-listed provider of sustainable packaging solutions.
Landsec chair Cressida Hogg said: “I look forward to welcoming Miles to the board. His broad experience and impressive track record as a chief executive and non-executive director will be a positive addition to the Landsec board and we look forward to working with him.”
Roberts added: “I’m very much looking forward to joining Landsec’s board, a business demonstrating strong leadership on ESG which is so critical to the real estate sector. This focus aligns closely with DS Smith’s work embedding our Now and Next Sustainability strategy, which is part of the experience I hope to bring to the table.”
