Melburg buys Bekaert’s Bradford HQ

Melburg Capital has purchased the Bekaert manufacturing HQ in an off-market deal.

The 110,000 sq ft industrial facility is located on Park House Road, Bradford. It had a short-term lease expiry to Bekaert, but was extended for another 15 years at £3.75 per sq ft.

The vendor was a private company that wishes to remain anonymous. The acquisition price was not disclosed, but this is Melburg’s 11th purchase in the past 12 months, taking its total spend to more than £1bn.

Jack Burgess, Melburg chief executive, said: “As a key employer, Bekaert’s long-term commitment to its Bradford HQ is hugely positive for the area.

“We look forward to working collaboratively with Bekaert to continue to optimise the facilities’ operations.”

Melburg was advised by Newson Real Estate.
