Pluto Finance is continuing its UK expansion with the appointment of Jonathan Scott as lending director for the South West.
He will be based in Exeter and will focus on funding housebuilders and developers in the region.
Scott joins from Hampshire Trust Bank, where he spent five years as lending director. Prior to that, he was the business manager at Barclays, overseeing a portfolio of more than 200 UK property developers and investors. Scott also worked at Funding Circle UK as a property finance specialist.
The move follows Evan Griffin’s appointment as lending director for the North earlier this month.
Justin Faiz, a partner at Pluto Finance, said: “Scott’s appointment is the next significant and strategic move in our push to expand our lending across the UK, following the recruitment of Evan Griffin for the northern regions, along with two more lending director appointments made in March.
“This year we have grown our lending directors from three to seven, along with an increase in the support team to serve our expansion.”
Scott said: “I will be focusing on lending to property developers and housebuilders with borrowing needs from £4m to £100m in the South West. Having focused solely on working with developers across this region over for many years, I’m looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience of the market to my new role.”
