A potential student accommodation site in Leicester is among the properties going under the hammer at Bond Wolfe’s September online auction.
The city centre site, at 47 Clarence Street, was granted planning permission for the demolition of an existing building and development of 47 student flats in 2017, although this has now lapsed. It has a guide price of £695,000.
Colin Totney, land and development specialist at Bond Wolfe, said: “There is strong demand for development opportunities in the centre of Leicester and we are already experiencing significant interest in the land at 47 Clarence Street.”
Other lots include a Cradley Heath housing development site with planning permission for 13 two-bedroom flats and two three-bedroom houses, with a guide price of £450,000.
Totney said: “At a time when demand for new homes continues to far outstrip the supply, this site offers a superb opportunity for a housebuilder or developer.
“The site has already been through a thorough planning process to come up with the existing proposal for 13 apartments and two houses. With house prices surging in the area over the last year, we expect fierce bidding for the opportunity to develop this prime plot of residential land.”
The auction will be held on 15 September.
