Developer hopes for full house with bingo hall resi conversion

The conversion of a bingo hall in Salford to 268 homes is set to be approved by Salford City Council in its planning meeting next week.

Donard Affordable Homes plans to demolish the current Buzz Bingo building in Pendleton and develop three blocks of between six and nine storeys.

The POD-designed development comprises one-, two- and three-bedroom flats, 69 parking spaces, 280 cycle spaces, e-bike charging and courtyard amenity space.

The site sits in a larger parcel of land included within the SCC Brownfield Land Register, part of a wider site seen as a potential development opportunity that could contribute to Salford Council’s future supply of housing.

If the scheme is signed off, it will mark Donard’s second approval in the space of less than two weeks. Earlier this week its proposals for a controversial BTR scheme in Bristol were given the all-clear.
