HWBC hopes for buzz around Hive sale

The Hive, a 73,000 sq ft office building in Dublin developed by U+I and Colony Capital, has been put on sale for €34.4m (£29.6m).

The site in Sandyford, formally known as Ballymoss House, was refurbished in 2019 and has recently secured lettings to Cubic Telecom, which took 30,000 sq ft, and NTR, which took 10,000 sq ft for its new HQ. Additional space is also under offer.

The property has an LEED Gold standard, platinum Cycling Score rating and Wired platinum certification.

Iain Sayer, director at HWBC, which is advising on the sale, said: “Investors are increasingly targeting assets that meet the very highest environmental standards. The benefits of this are clear when looking at the excellent tenants that have chosen to locate at The Hive. When the ESG qualities are combined with the quality of the income and attractive running yield, we expect The Hive to appeal to a wide range of investors looking for quality in the current market environment.”
